Wonder in stone

Constructed about 500 years ago, this wall protects the massive ancient structure Kumbhalgarh Fort within its bounds. The wall has a length of 36 kilometers and only lose to the Great Wall of China in the magnitude. Hence it is the second longest continuous wall in the world! It’s not just the length that makes it wonderful, but also the sheer amount of effort put into designing each inch of the wall.

From history books

Kumbhalgarh wall was built in 15th century by Rana Kumbha. It reserves its place in history books as the birthplace of the legendary king and warrior of Mewar, Maharana Pratap. The spot is also one of the UNESCO World Heritage Site in India.

Activities to do

Tourism department of Rajasthan organizes an annual 3-day festival in the fort. It has a lot of attractions like sound and light show with the fort as the backdrop. You can also take part in many fun activities like tug-of-war, Mehndi Mandana, turban tying, heritage walk etc.
