Jasper National Park is one of the largest in North America and is home to a large number of grizzly bears, elks, moose and many water birds. Protected national park

Jasper National Park was established in 1907 in an attempt to preserve the forest after there was a sharp decline in wildlife because of the rapid urbanization of North America. The park was later added as a UNESCO world heritage site. Since it offers habitat to a very large number of animals and there exists a sensitive ecosystem, the authorities are very strict in giving access to the public.

Reaching the park

Jasper National Park can be easily reached by taking a cab from the nearest airports - Edmonton or Calgary. You can visit the park any time of the year without getting disappointed, but the best time is from end of summer to early autumn when the weather is perfect. Please make sure to plan your trip in such a way that you can reach the park just before dawn when you can see most of the animals.
